All birds competing in Any Age, Young Bird or Barr-head classes must wear the official closed coded ring of the actual exhibitor(s) purchased from the Budgerigar Society through the secretary. Beginners and Juniors will be exempt from the above rule and can exhibit bought birds in the Any Age section.

Show Rules - Show Status Definitions
(a) Newcomer / Junior
(i) A newcomer (an adult over the age of 16 years) must exhibit in the Newcomer/Junior section for one show season only prior to proceeding to the novice section in the following show season.
(ii) A junior is a person aged between eight years and sixteen years on the 1st January and paying a junior subscription; he/she must exhibit in the Newcomer/Junior section.
(b) Novice – to remain the same
(c) Intermediate – to remain the same
(d) Champion – to remain the same
